Mary Curtin, MSW was hired as SCA’s Executive Director in May 2024.  Mary guides all aspects of the organization with a focus on mission and goal achievement. Mary is responsible for strategic program planning & analysis, financial management, insurance compliance, marketing & fundraising and policy creation in accordance with SCA’s Board of Directors. Mary also participates as a member of Suffield’s Local Prevention Council and Social Services Commission. Mary has been a practicing clinician and social worker for over 24 years and has worked in inpatient, outpatient, residential  and academic settings. For over 10 years, Mary ran employment and supportive living programs for people with disabilities. Recently she served as the Director of Professional Education at Smith College School for Social Work, where she designed post-graduate training for social workers. Patricia Beeman, MSW: Patricia was hired in October 2004 and coordinates services for persons of all ages with diverse service needs. Pat assists with issues related to aging, disability rights, substance abuse, mental health, housing and financial assistance in order to educate residents regarding resources. Pat serves as Suffield’s Municipal Agent for the Elderly as required by the CT Statute and participates as a member of the North Central Regional Mental Health Board and as a member of the CLASS (CT Local Administrators of Social Services). Pat earned her Masters of Social Work degree from Springfield College. Prior to her employment with SCA, Pat worked for the Y-House Supportive Housing in Torrington as a Supportive Service Coordinator.   You can reach Pat at Patb@suffieldcommunityaid.org

 

 

 

Beth Sheridan: Beth was hired as the Social Services Coordinator for SCA in May 2007. Previous to her employment with SCA, Beth was employed as a social worker for West Mass Elder Care for 11 years. Beth’s primary functions include administering the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program, the Operation Fuel Program, and the Rental Rebate Program. In addition to these duties, Beth provides social services consults, responds to requests for food & fuel, assists with applications for financial & medical aid and connects residents to resources. Josephine, “Jo” Dzioba: Jo was hired early in 2015 as the administrative assistant for SCA. In addition to her administrative duties, Jo coordinates the Meals-On-Wheels Program. Jo began her affiliation with SCA as a volunteer – assisting with meal delivery, the backpack program and soliciting donations for the food pantry. You can reach Jo at jod@suffieldcommunityaid.org
