Mary Curtin, MSW was hired as SCA’s Executive Director in May 2024. Mary guides all aspects of the organization with a focus on mission and goal achievement. Mary is responsible for strategic program planning & analysis, financial management, insurance compliance, marketing & fundraising and policy creation in accordance with SCA’s Board of Directors. Mary also participates as a member of Suffield’s Local Prevention Council and Social Services Commission. Mary has been a practicing clinician and social worker for over 24 years and has worked in inpatient, outpatient, residential and academic settings. For over 10 years, Mary ran employment and supportive living programs for people with disabilities. Recently she served as the Director of Professional Education at Smith College School for Social Work, where she designed post-graduate training for social workers. She is a graduate of Smith College School for Social Work and Brown University.
